Furgerson’s Garage Partners with Encinitas CERT to Donate Auto Service
Furgerson’s Garage, an Encinitas auto repair shop, will donate auto maintenance and reduced repair costs on the retired 1998 Ford Ambulance from Encinitas CERT (Community Emergency Response Team).
The ambulance serves as an Emergency Response Vehicle (ERV) which, when deployed, provides amateur radio communications equipment and supplies to CERT members. The ERV is also used at promotional events such as the upcoming Oktoberfest and Fall Street Fair.
“All of us at Furgerson’s Garage appreciate the importance of the CERT program at Encinitas,” said Brad Dow, owner of Furgerson’s Garage.
“It takes considerable dedication from CERT members to properly prepare for community disasters. Furgerson’s Garage is pleased to donate the periodic maintenance of the CERT Emergency Response Vehicle, and we are thrilled to be a part of such an important cause.
