Green and modern approach to car maintenance and repair

Drive + Façade avenue Quezon
Most of us don’t want to see the interior of an auto repair and service shop. Not only is the visit usually associated with high expenses, but the place is generally drab and uninviting, sometimes smelling of oil and grime.
The new Drive + Car Care Center located at 81 Panay Avenue / 1320 Quezon Avenue (near the corner of Timog Avenue) definitely changes all those old impressions.
The facility of over 2,000 square meters can be considered the most modern and “green”, as it complies with the Quezon City Green Building Ordinance of 2009.
âToday there is a lot of talk about the issues of green building and reducing our personal carbon footprint. Even for an auto repair and maintenance shop, we should consider all of these elements. I think we’ve done a great job here because we’re ready to provide our customers with the best service and at the same time, a different experience, âsaid Jason Manabat, brand director of Drive + Car Care Center.
For guests entering from the Quezon Avenue side, they will be greeted by a hotel-style reception area where staff are ready to respond to inquiries.
The service advisor at the reception has a checklist of all the necessary services, and if the mechanic / technician during the work process detects a problem or concern, it will be immediately forwarded to the owner.
According to Manabat, Drive + Car Care Center is a full-service preventive maintenance and auto repair center with oil, lubricant, and filter changes for subframe servicing.
âWe have 14 service areas managed by our highly trained mechanics and we have also partnered with some of the biggest automotive brands including Continental, Falken, Hankook, CEAT, Total, Motul, Sonax and Bendix. “
He adds that since Drive + Car Care Center is aimed at all automotive brands and brands, premium / luxury or others, the establishment must also offer services that should compete with or even exceed the service centers of these brands.
“We have not only set our prices very competitively with these service centers, but we are also in the process of sending our mechanics to the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority so that they can receive their Automotive Servicing NC II certificates.” , adds Manabat.
Manabat explains that this is the reason why the family opted for a first-rate installation that meets the city’s green building standards: 50 kW solar energy system installed on the roof, LED lighting on all sections. of the installation, high floor-to-ceiling design that promotes natural air exchange and entry of natural light, a waste management system and even an indoor vertical garden.
âWe also offer modern comforts like Wi-Fi, a first-class and modern lounge with a personalized entertainment facility for any waiting guest.â

The unveiling of the Drive + Car Care Center was led by Manabat and former Continental Tires APAC sales manager Peter Hoffman.
Manabat proudly showcased the centre’s expert advisors and accredited staff. He also spoke about his services: trustworthy and high-end auto maintenance, as well as the first-class and modern salon.
In his welcome speech, he said, âIt is with great pride that we have always been an advocate for quality by ensuring that we only deliver what we know to be of great value to Filipino automotive consumers. By value we are not only referring to the superior brands we can offer through this business center, but more so, to the best service and customer experience we can offer.
He added, âAt Drive + Car Care Center, we are committed to delivering more value to our customers in a way that we have mastered through decades of experience with Tire Boy, our premier concept service center.
âWe operate with an impeccable work ethic and professional management team, all focused on ensuring that we are highly productive, efficient and above all trustworthy in serving our ever-growing customer base. “
The roots of the Manabat family started with JM Auto Supply, their first company, which was established in 1960 in the heart of Binondo, Manila by Jugo Manabat.
In the 1970s, under the leadership of Winston Manabat, the company developed into a tire importer, then known as JM Far East Inc.
In the 90s, JM further demonstrated his passion for quality by distributing world famous brands such as Yokohama, Goodyear, Dunlop, Falken, Hankook, General and Continental across the country.
With the family’s passion for quality came the opening of Tire Boy, a service center located on Maria Clara Street in Banawe in the year 2000.

It was the family’s first company in the automotive service industry.
The advocacy and mission of this company was to provide high quality auto care products and services as an alternative to car dealerships and after sales support.
By upholding its core value of quality service, the store has managed to establish itself as one of the most reliable and knowledgeable service centers in the Banawe area in just two years.
After successfully bringing value to the Philippine market and fulfilling its mission, the next step was to provide customers with the best car service experience possible. This is how the Drive + Car Care Center was born.
âOur initiative to transition to a world-class service center is our testament to a higher purpose than just making money. It’s our way of enriching the auto maintenance scene by delivering an unparalleled customer experience, âsaid Manabat.
