Discover Downtown Oshawa: Cooper’s Auto Services Has a Long History in Oshawa
By Garth Johns / Columnist
The first thing that strikes you about Cooper’s Auto Services is that it is reminiscent of the service stations of generations past.
Nothing fancy but nothing is too much trouble if it helps their client and there is a very good reason for that feeling. Cooper’s has been in business since 1946 under the same family, in the same location and with the same customer orientation.
Once you meet current owner Doug Cooper, who is the third generation of the Cooper family to run the business, you’ll see why their business isn’t flashy. He is calm, really laid back but absolutely focused on providing the best possible service.
His son Charles is waiting backstage to represent the fourth generation and to all appearances is also laid back but that does not detract from the professionalism found within their four walls.
Doug has been servicing cars for 40 years while Charles has been working on them, say, less. However, they and all of their staff are licensed mechanics. They service all makes and models of vehicles, so feel free to think yours is a little different. They still provide all maintenance and tires. They feature all the latest technology and are fully warranty approved.
In my experience with Cooper’s, I always feel like I have been treated with honesty, integrity and been given value for money – and this is often not the case with other companies in These days. They are constantly committed to the satisfaction of their customers. In fact, they’re not happy until you are. Cooper’s wants to make sure you travel safely and will do everything possible to ensure your continued safety. Come see Doug and the gang at Cooper’s Auto Services at 56 Bruce Street in downtown Oshawa.
