Analytics India Magazine caught up Sachin Shenoy, co-founder and CEO of Let’s Service to better understand how the company uses emerging technologies. Shenoy, along with fellow co-founders Girish Gangadhar and Sachin Radder, kicked off Let’s Service by solving a small use case of providing the convenience of home pickup and drop-off for periodic maintenance so customers don’t have to to go to approved service centers. Regarding funding, Shenoy said, âThe company has raised funds from a group of incumbent investors and they continue to support us because they believe deeply in the business and the opportunity that presents itself. to the company.”
Use of AI and ML
In the pick-up and drop-off industry, the company uses recommendation algorithms in internal operations to match customer demand and supply and in the software suite for certain critical use cases. On the IoT front, the company uses accelerometer and gyroscope readings to deliver the same information as IoT devices, making it more scalable without having the addiction and hassle of installing a device on the vehicle. .
The company’s core technology stack is a combination of multiple technologies like Java, PHP back-end, MySQL database-driven, and tools and technologies like Python, React, Angular JS, Ionic, NodeJS, Redis, AWS , Zeplin, etc. The company currently has 2 products on the market. The first being a subscription to home pickup and drop-off assistance for periodic maintenance sold to vehicle owners and the second being the suite of software products sold to car dealerships. The engineering team has more than 25 members.

Regarding the tech team, Shenoy said, âI personally believe in hiring someone who is 60% hungry and 40% talented / skilled. As a business, we believe that as long as hunger is present to hit, people will continue to strike over their weight and make an impact.
The company has expanded the overall business with pickup and drop-off services provided in 27 Indian cities today, and has also sold the suite of software products in over 180 cities and towns in India. The latest product is called the “Smart Ride Club”, a membership program for vehicle owners in India. The product is currently inviting beta customers and running pilots in a few select locations in Bangalore.
The company’s vision is to “simplify vehicle ownership”. Sachin said, âOur job as a company is to become a janitor for vehicle owners where all of the above tasks can be done in one place without breaking a sweat and saving tons of time and money in the process.
